Image: From Us With Love. ERPR score = 9 (average). Currently the only chair made from recycled plastic in the IKEA catalogue. The Odger arrives as four separate components to be assembled by the end user, delivering savings in transport and storage. While the entire chair is made from a single plastic it has been combined with wood (30%) for strength impacting the end-of-life prospects for the chair. While two versions of the chair are available they are offered with only two colour choices. Overall the Odger was awarded just 9 points, one below the average for all the renewable carbon-based plastic chairs evaluated, a disappointing result for the global leader with high profile commitments to sustainability.
